Phlebotomist - 1348043
Description
We are located in Jasper, GA approximately 60 miles north of Atlanta.
We are building a pool of interested and qualified candidates in anticipation of potential future staffing needs.
Collects blood from donors, checks quality of blood, and assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of donors, following established standards and practices. Performs a variety of clerical functions including filing, faxing, and mailing copies to physician offices and home health.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Communicates instructions and information, and provides overall assistance to clients.
2. Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to assess, interpret and provide care. Age appropriate
Competence:
3. Performs venipuncture in accordance with laboratory collection procedure manual.
4. Develops and maintains effective working relationships
5. Understands role and adheres to the organizations Environment of Care / Infection Control and Risk
Management performance standards.
6. Maintains and increase standards of performance and education.
Qualifications
High School or equivalent degree. Completion of a certified phlebotomy training program or two years of acute care experience. Current BCLS certification required.
